Inviting Us to Your Convention

We aren't usually the types who will go out looking for conventions to attend and asking to be invited... so the first step in getting us to your convention is really to just drop us an e-mail telling us when it is and inviting us to be there as your guests. If our schedule is open, we'll almost certainly be willing to attend. In fact, we'll even advertise your convention on our site so our readers will know to find us there, and we keep our official conventions list in easy view on the left-hand side of every page.

Programming

We have several different panels and workshops that we can run on a variety of topics, and we'd be happy to conduct any combination of these at your convention. All of our events are designed for an hour time slot and require no special equipment. We'd also be happy to participate in other events if you have some in mind. Panels that we've done recently include:

and

Webcomics as an Industry
Author VS Editor: Deathmatch
The Cruel Reality of Professional Webcomics
Errant Story Q&A

For bios and pictures to use for your program guide and website, please download our convention packet.

Travel Details

We're pretty flexible when it comes to attending cons, and basically just need you to provide our badges, transportation, and a hotel room. Typically, we arrive Thursday and leave Monday so that our travel and recovery time aren't conflicting with your convention.

We are based in Cincinnati, Ohio. So long as your convention is within about 300 miles of us, we'll most likely just drive ourselves and ask that you send us a flat amount based on our estimation of gas, tolls, and parking round-trip. If the convention is farther away than 300 miles, we will still prefer to drive, but we may have to fly or take a train depending upon the exact dates and location. If we do have to fly, we'll provide information for you to book the tickets for us, flying out of CVG (a Delta hub). If we have to take a train, they're somewhat rare in Cincinnati, so lots of notice may be required in order to arrange our tickets.

Please note that Impy is allergic to smoke, and keep this in mind when booking travel and the hotel.

Vendor Space

We would be delighted to accept vendor space in addition to reimbursement for our major travel expenses, since it is an excellent way for attendees to talk to us between panels and it offers us the opportunity to compensate for the minor expenses and the amount of time we're spending away from the studio. However, we are unable to accept vendor space in lieu of reimbursement for travel and hotel. A vendor space is risky and requires full-time effort to yield any significant income, and we'd already be putting that effort into being your guests.

Have more questions before inviting us to your convention? Please feel free to ask us for more details. We'd be happy to answer all your questions about travel, media interaction, panels, and anything else that may come up. Thanks for wanting us to be at your convention... We look forward to working with you!
