From The Heretic Knowledge Vault
As adventurers Argus, Sister Rose, etc., discover (very much to their surprise) on reaching Lorenzel, Elric is the previously unacknowledged son of the late, enigmatic, and highly significant Father Egbert. The circumstances of this family relationship haven't been fully worked out, but some remarks by Elric suggest that Egbert decamped from their home town of Ramanzel rather suddenly about the time that Elric made his appearance, leaving some decidedly unhappy relatives on Elric's unnamed mother's side. The rest is left to the reader's imagination. In any case, when Rose brings the news of Egbert's sad demise, Elric isn't quite as devastated by it as one might expect; anything but, in fact.
He puts in his first appearance at the inn on the outskirts of Lorenzel where the party is staying following their adventures in Nautkia. He shows up in the aftermath of a fierce thunderstorm, and astounds the travelers with a very matter-of-fact declaration that not only was he brought by the storm, it's a living storm that he has befriended and called "Stormie." Apparently the elements around Ramanzel are a bit more ... sentient ... than in most places. He has more interactions with "Stormie" as he accompanies the group to Ramanzel to search for his family's long-abandoned digs, with as little enthusiasm and cooperation as he can manage.
He was last seen being lifted out of the old homestead by Stormie, and who knows when we'll encounter him again.
