The dwarves were the first race the gods Senilis and Anilis made. They were strong, resilient, and blindingly intelligent, but they had no magic and could not reproduce. Of the elven races, they got along best with the Rinkai.
They're thought to have all died out. There are ancient ruins predating the elves that the elves claim the dwarves built. Humans have tried to use these ruins as evidence for an advanced pre-elven human civilization.
