A significant NPC in the Errant Road free-form on-line role-playing game. Needless to say, he doesn't exist in the Poe-verse.

Ace is an employee -- not clear whether "member" is completely accurate -- of the Gewehr, whose job is to pilot a curiously advanced airship owned by Gewehr big shot Peter. At least that was his job, but unfortunately, his ride got blown up by some kind of magical bomb when he used it to take PC Layla and family to Rinkaiel, for reasons never fully established. Peter's reaction to this misfortune is unrecorded, but Ace survived both the resulting crash and Peter's wrath.

Ace was married for a time to a childhood friend of Layla's, but alas, his wife was killed in the carnage of Gewehr people in Veracia, which apparently has been happening in the Errant Road-verse just as it did in Errant Story itself. Layla had an adolescent crush on the somewhat older Ace that is showing definite signs of blossoming into something else, now that both have lost their spouses.

All told, a nice enough guy, and unlike most Gewehr people in Errant Road, he hasn't even tried to kill anyone yet.
