A minor NPC in the Errant Road on-line free-form role-playing game. Needless to say, he doesn't exist in the Poe-verse.
Cyrus is high priest ("Abbot") at the temple of the Orthodox Veracian church in Gervasiel. He's only in the picture briefly, as PCs Sister Rose, Argus, etc., come to town for a brief "interview" -- that's the polite word -- with representatives of the Cardinal Inquisitor's office. At that time he proves to be a typically officious, xenophobic Veracian priest. He also nearly manages to get dead, as the temple's stables erupt in flame (for still-unclear reasons) and he has a heart attack when he dashes off to investigate. Ministrations by Desiree, Brother Timothy and others manage to keep him alive, and he's convalescing as the party leaves town.
We probably won't see him again in Errant Road, which is just as well, as according to Brother Tim, he's just as unpleasant a fellow as first impressions suggest him to be.
