A locale in the Errant Road free-form on-line role-playing game. As far as we know, it doesn't exist in the Poe-verse. First mentioned here.

Frobish Bay is a small inlet on the west coast of Veracia, on the ocean separating Veracia from Farrel and other points west. It is south of the coastal town of Getsemiel, main focal point of the Calfornican Church, a ... mellow sect within the Veracian Church. PCs Sister Rose, Argus, Lillith, etc., journey here in pursuit of the mysterious, sinister Father Blaise, whom Rose has orders to capture and return to the Veracian Church headquarters in Emerylon, for reasons that make up most of the second half of Errant Road and are too complex to describe here. However, Blaise escapes via what appears to be a hydrofoil ship -- a technology unknown in the charted parts of the Errant World, and possibly of dwarven origin -- and the group spends much of the rest of Errant Road looking for him.

Not only is Frobish Bay the site of this spectacularly unsuccessful end of one of the game's major quests; it is also responsible for an excruciatingly painful part of Sister Rose's backstory, as her husband, Kenny Lucas, was killed here in a weird magical incident five years before game time. Visiting this site understandably causes Rose a great deal of stress, and it's also stressful for fellow party member Desiree, who had been in love with Kenny before he took up with Rose and had been no more successful in getting over him than Rose was (indeed, less, since as the game progresses, Rose finally rebounds into Argus' arms). It's a nice enough locale, provided one ignores the still-existing crater created by the magical "mine" that wiped out Kenny and others, but more or less everyone is glad to be shut of the place and go off looking for Blaise -- although some of the sites they follow him to are even more disagreeable and hard on the psyche than this one.
