ER:Dess Marson

A very minor NPC in the Errant Road free-form on-line role-playing game. Needless to say, he doesn't exist in the Poe-verse.
Mr. Marson is an old acquaintance of PC Argus Cleiviein who happens to encounter Argus and colleagues as they are on the road to Umbertiel, a town in Veracia where a delegation from the Cardinal Inquisitor's office awaits. He's apparently some sort of businessman who is transacting some negotiation when Argus and company meet him, in the small village of Roquiel, but there are indications that his "business" is that of smuggling, probably connected with the smuggler's paradise that is Nautkia, visited earlier by the adventurers. One of the clues about his real occupation is the fact that a member of his entourage meets a violent end in Roquiel, although this doesn't seem to have much to do with the player characters that they know of.
He mainly provides a bit of comic relief connected with his jumping to the conclusion that Argus and Sister Rose are married, which they aren't (yet?). However, he also pops back into the picture when Rose, Argus, etc., are looking for a caravan out of the Northern Confederacy city of Clovius after completing their mission up north, such as it is. No telling yet where this encounter might go.
