ER:Tsui

As portrayed in Errant Road, the tsui is the basic unit of currency in Tsuiraku. (We have no idea whether it also has this name in the Poe-verse itself; probably not, since Meji and Ellis talk about "silvers" in a way suggesting they're the unit of currency in common use. We really don't know, but anyway, the Errant Road version is not assumed to exist in the main story.)

The tsui appears to have roughly the purchasing power of one American (or Australian, Canadian, etc.) dollar, or one Euro, in the real world -- "purchasing power" being a different thing in Tsuiraku because so many things are done magically and apparently without the exchange of money. It appears in various Errant Road threads, frequently in situations involving exchanges of a bit of baksheesh (or, if you will, bribery). It is not the currency of Veracia, reasonably enough, and according to this moment in Errant Road, "wouldn't be accepted anywhere in Saus except in a bank." However, there is apparently an accepted exchange rate between the tsui and whatever Veracia does use, as the official in the story (very slight spoiler), the shadowy and extremely powerful Captain Kitaura, demonstrates.

The raku is a subdivision of the tsui. There may be ten rakus in a tsui; there may be a hundred. Errant Road is slightly unclear on that. Anyway, it's worth so little as to be not worth worrying about.
