Polly's day job, as disclosed here, and one of those little nods toward fantasy literature that shows that Poe knows his stuff. For those familiar with Terry Pratchett and his "Discworld" series, the seamstress' guild is a leading establishment catering to a heterosexually-needy male clientele.
