Template talk:Stub

This is intended to be used to indicate an incomplete article. This us usually used by an editor that is creating entire classes of pages and doesn't have time to fill them all in or would like some help with it. The Stub invites participants.

This template will also place the affected pages in the Stub category so that they will be easy to find and track.

Usage

• When you see a stub and can add to the article then please do so.
• Leave the stub in place until you know the article is complete.
• Once it looks provisionally complete (if you can't think of anything to add to it then it is probably complete) then remove the Stub tag.

Comments

• I think I'd rather see this box centered and placed at the bottom of pages, rather than at the top right. That way it doesn't interrupt the flow of information in the article, which after all is what the article is for. What do you think? -- Graybeard 08:52, 22 January 2007 (CST)

• I think that the damned box won't center. I tried. I think it is because of the down-rev wiki software. Templates don't take proper variables either. Any 1.5.x version is ancient and I know that there were better versions when this Piece of Drech was implemented. Sorry, I needed to get that off of my chest. ;)

• The Stub template should be at the top, as it asks the reader to help with the project. It also makes clear to the reader that the article is not quite complete. Besides, the top-right is almost never used unless there is a side-bar, which usually means that you no longer need the Stub box anyway ;)
