Val Sennel was a fairly important man from Emerylon whom the Gewehr Wraiths were hired to kill, we know not by whom. Jon Amraphel was assigned the hit. He succeeded, and everything was going smoothly until fate decided that Jon needed to be a main character and betrayed him to the guards in Saus, and he was forced to flee from the city and into the story.
