There were filler images from before 2005, but Poe always removed them from the comics folder a few weeks later. As a result, hardcore fans typically scrambled to download them whenever one went up, and would re-post it in the forums if anyone asked about it afterwards. Because Poe always took the filler images down and never really thought to record what went where, the old stuff was sortof lost to the ages as far as actual canonical records. However, I do believe that a few of the dedicated forumers from the old Kyhm forums have complete records of the filler, should one of the Heretical Monks wish to take it upon themselves to track them down. (You might start by asking Actor).

Poe only stopped taking the filler down when he left Keenspot, because he changed comic systems to a database-driven one where modifications to the comics database were... difficult. We'll probably remove the filler to a different section of the website once we eventually switch to the updated version of ES being up online. --Impy 17:45, 17 February 2008 (CST)

It would be nice to have the earlier fillers for completeness, but IMO it isn't essential. The purpose of the index here is so that people can find the filler that contains stuff they're looking for. If they can't "find" the filler from earlier (since it's not on the public file system any more), it kind of defeats the point of indexing it.

That said, if you (or anyone else) would like to ask Actor for any of that stuff, by all means do. If he's re-created a handle on the new Forum, it's a different one, and as far as I can tell, he hasn't been active here for ages.
