Bani's Mom is not yet named in the story, and alas, is no longer with us. According to Bani's father Toshi, she died about eight years before story time, of undisclosed causes. Despite a strained marriage, he still misses her (maybe Tsuirakuans get Aetern Desiderium just as elves do?) and has her portrait prominently displayed in his apartment in Tsuirakushiti.

Bani is known to be half Farrelian, and from the looks of things, her mom supplied the Farrelian genes. In the portrait she has a different, darker skin tone than Tsuirakuans do. We've seen this before in Farrelians, for example in the late bandit Jim.
