A big shot in the Tsuirakuan military, introduced here, as he accompanies Meji's grandfather to grill Sarine and the Amraphels on just what has been going on in Emerylon (i.e., Ian Samael and his capacity for death and destruction). As yet his role is uncertain, as he really hasn't done anything except stand around and look menacing. Sarine would clearly like to get him and the other Tsuirakuans to help the elves deal with Ian, but as yet, it looks like he isn't buying it.

He drops in again later when the merry crew returns from the Far North, joining Ichiro as they try to make sense out of just what happened up there. He also gets to break the news to Ichiro that his granddaughter has been sighted at Sashi Mu Academy of Thaumaturgy and Conjuration, paying a courtesy call on her old instructor Professor Yukiri. This is probably not as happy news as gramps originally perceives it to be, however.
