Toren was the leader of an elven military squad sent in response to [[Sarine Elle|Sarine]]'s call for support in moving against a pair of errants. He was formal, fairly respectful, magically powerful, and later slandered after his death by being referred to as "the lead dead moron". Truly a shame. He also had really cool, intricately detailed armor. Let his death be a lesson to everyone that no matter how likable you are, if you serve the Establishment, you're doomed to die against less powerful but desperate main characters.
