It isn't known whether other forms of sword can be enchanted to have magical properties, but firearms definitely can (Jon Amraphel carried a silenced one at one point), so it's reasonable to suspect that swords can too.
Forms of sword identified thus far in the story are:
- Dolon (used by Sara Amraphel)
- Hape (or possibly Harpe; an elven weapon carried by Sarine Elle, among others)
- Lancea (used by members of the Ensigerum)
- Spatha
- Non-magical short sword (used by Sarine)
