A rather effete fellow who works in the library at the Sashi Mu Academy of Thaumaturgy and Conjuration. Meji intimidates him (with collateral, pyrotechnic damage) into giving her information that sets her looking for the Heretic Knowledge Vault, which is why we have a story. He first appears here. (Actually, it's not clear that this first appearance is by the same guy that Meji bullies, since there's an apparent difference in hair color, but geeky librarian types are kinda interchangeable, at least in a fantasy story.)
