Mandi is an old friend of Jon's who owns a tavern in Taberna that she inherited from her father. (She doesn't stay with the place out of any nostalgia for dear old dad, who hated the place, but on the contrary, to spite his shade, wherever it is.) She's understandably not impressed by Meji's explosive remodeling effort, but a little baksheesh from Sarine makes everything cool again.
She knows Jon quite well, and has a likable personality.
