Is a possibility (Have never looked through Victoria. Woah.)... I'll just work on getting a raw form of something (More or less what I'm generating. Lotta elbow grease to refine it later too.) of it done  and available and then we can all discuss how we want it to finally look or someone/groups of people (Hand out chapters/selection of pages/something) can just churn out a more refined form or whatever. -spiketail 21:01, 24 January 2006 (CST)

►That is a good idea. I should work on one of the chapters... doing the whole thing at once would probably be excessive. ►Oy... if you could hold off on that for just a few days, all you'll have to do is a massive amount of copy-and-pasting to do. That was another reason behind this. Sara is the only main char pretty much completely linked. The rest have a @$%#TON of links. Amazing Ian is done (Or pretty much, for the moment, I think).

And Impy, one step at a time, pleeeeeeaaaaase? ;) I'm guessing I'll be done with the rough form by this week or weekend-ish. Then we'll see about that article for every strip. ►Sweet, now make articles called something like "temporary cheat sheet - chapter foo" with this stuff so we can all work on putting each individual page up and flesh the thing out a bit.  If we really want to make one article per comic, then we can each pick a chapter and do all the comics included based on your cheats.  We might also want to hunt down the forum thread regarding each page and link that as well--Arwing 14:24, 27 January 2006 (CST)

You said, "Maybe it's time to start putting the spammer's name in the comment when you revert the articles back to what they were?"  Problem is, I'm not an admin here, and therefore don't have access to the automated tool that tracks the names of "authors" being reverted.  I'll try to remember, but it's a lot harder to do it manually. -- Graybeard 23:32, 1 May 2006 (CDT)

A change in the numeric spammers' tactics.  This time they're actually creating topical pages for purposes of filling them with spam.  Note that the Lorenzel page was new when the cretin spammed it.  I've reverted that one, and put a tiny bit of content in.  A few other things have been learned about the spammers too.  How to get in touch with you? -- Graybeard 22:27, 12 May 2006 (CDT)

They've been doing that for the past week or so. Since there's nothing to roll back to, I just wipe it clean and save it. That'll create a revert point we can use. Only way to get around that is edit each and every blank page so it has a revert point that we'll use to get rid of the spam. As for contacting me, plenty of contact info on my member page on the Forums. -spiketail 06:56, 13 May 2006 (CDT)

They're baaack, in quantity.  I think the best way of dealing with these idiots it by setting up blacklists of URLs for the content, not the spammer, since they seem to function once and then disappear. I've started a The Heretic Knowledge Vault:Policy page to help set up access/block/protection guidelines.  These will become useful when the software gets upgraded to allow new security measures, and I think they should be informative even now.  Please read and comment on the talk page (and change as applicable, since you have sysop access and can make changes to the content page itself, which is currently protected). -- Graybeard 10:36, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
