Evelyn, sometimes just called Lyn, is Ian's older sister. Evelyn, like many half elves was born with a birth defect. Healing magic and medicine have thusfar been unsucessful in treating her unspecified cardiac illness. Her condition apears to be terminal so Ian has decided to quest for enough power to overcome her half elf's natural resistance to polymorph magic, and save her.
