:::::Gotcha. Watch out for those extra vertical spaces, they're small but noticable. Just use (br) for line breaks.

Revision as of 00:53, 16 September 2006

you've now got the ability to delete pages and such. I'm tired of monkeying with it, so...

re: 'Errant War' and 'Elven Golden Age', understand they're non-existant articles but they're huge, nicely segmentable swaths of 'history' and would be bloody useful to have as references. If all else fails, I'll just get the articles written myself in a few days. --Normalphil 17:39, 26 January 2006 (CST)

I took them out for the same reason I took out the Mage and Priest Wars links. --Kestenvarn 17:49, 26 January 2006 (CST)

which was? --Normalphil 17:59, 26 January 2006 (CST)

No content, and each was spelled in a wonderfully different way. There's nothing stopping anyone from adding the links after the fact; why uglify the page with red marks? --Kestenvarn 20:40, 26 January 2006 (CST)

For a young wiki like this, red links are not only unavoidable, but also desirable, since they create natural pathways for the wiki to expand along, put needed pages up on the Wanted Pages section, and various other benefits. RMG 20:43, 26 January 2006 (CST)

No, I am not Lify. Sorry? - Sean 18:43, 29 January 2006 (CST)

The formatting behind the category tag is in the templates for the wikipedia itself; you'll need to edit the page layouts to change it. The actual position of any [[Category:Something]] tag is irrelevant; it gets rendered invisible and the catagories are always appended to the bottom. That's why they're not visible in the preview. - Sean

Meji and the Time of Destruction

Do I gather from what you're doing that you want to get away from strip number in favor of date, in the "Appears In" boxes? Makes a lot of sense, since the strips haven't had numbers for the last year or so. If I read this right, drop me a note on my talk page and I'll help. -- Graybeard 18:34, 15 September 2006 (CDT)

Let's take a sec and agree on format before doing a bunch of stuff we have to undo. I'm not sure what you intend with the section headers on Meji's data. Chapter? Year? what? I'd recommend "year" so that that doesn't have to get repeated with every entry; will start working on Sarine's Husband to demonstrate what I mean, since there aren't as many to wade through. -- Graybeard 19:31, 15 September 2006 (CDT)

Years don't matter, really. Just chapter as a header, day and month: --Kestenvarn 19:38, 15 September 2006 (CDT)

(empty line)
(horizontal rule width 80%)
Chapter
Month/Day, Month/Day, etc.

OK, chapters it is. I'd prefer bold to italic. Check how it looks on the hubby page. -- Graybeard 19:40, 15 September 2006 (CDT)
Not that good. There's too much bold formatting in use already. Also, years are acceptable for single-date entries like First Appearance. --Kestenvarn 19:42, 15 September 2006 (CDT)
Format is Year/Month/Day for single-date entries, same as the comic uses.
OK, check it again. I strongly recommend getting the format bugs worked out with one of these smaller pages first. -- Graybeard 19:45, 15 September 2006 (CDT)

Gotcha. Watch out for those extra vertical spaces, they're small but noticable. Just use (br) for line breaks.
